The stories of those touched by adoption, foster care, and third-party reproduction, and the complexities of the loss and how it plays out across the lifespan relationships and individuals' lives, deserve to be heard and held sacred.

Begining in January, there will be a monthly support group for adopted persons, birth and adoptive family members, waiting familes, foster familes, even those whose families were created by third-party donors.

Please feel free to pass this along to anyone who may be touched by the journey of creative family building.

The group meets at the Center for Integrative Health and Healing of Seal Beach.

This group provides a compassionate space for teens touched by third party reproduction, adoption, and foster care to make new connections to swap feelings, thoughts, and stories related to adoption in an understanding, safe, and supportive environment with other teens.

In the company of their peers, they will expand their understanding of themselves as they swap stories about their experiences and challenges with others around relationships, the complexity of family, sense of self, and identity. There is a $10 suggested donation. Registration and parental consent are required before attending.
